Supernaturalis - open-air installation
Supernaturalis is a multisensorial installation in public place which is inspired by mystical natural phenomena like ghost lights (“will o’wisps”), morning fog or sheet lightning. Thereby supernaturalis plays with reality and imagination and blurs the boundaries between the natural and the artificial.
The aim of the project supernaturalis was on one hand side to develop mobile intervention devices that allow to play on and alter public space in an intuitive and explorative way. On the other hand I used these devices to stage and “mystify” particular places in the city of Zürich and thus make people wonder and marvel again about their daily environment.
